I had this opportunity to visit Malaysia a few weeks ago. I was there for my church mission trip. Our original destination was to Myanmar but due to the recent riots, we had to change our destination to Malaysia instead.
We began our journey early in the morning. We had a total of 4 cars and a team of 22 members, with the youngest at 10 yrs old and the oldest at 57.
We reached our first destination at around 9.30am. The children were already there, fidgeting like little balls of energy. Though some of them were really very naughty, all of them are very cute. We started our programs immediately and it lasted the whole day. The laughter of children drowned the atmosphere.

Our programs include a puppet show, story telling, life play and singing of songs. During the puppet show, my role was a Shepard who loves his sheep. This puppet show includes life acting where I dressed up as the Shepard. I am glad that the children like our programs.
After our mass games, we break up the children into their respective age group and lead them to their class. My team taught the children to sing, tell them a story and teaches them origami. My style of story telling is narrating the story verbally and at the same time drawing out the scene. There is this 2 twin girls in my class and their names are Yuan Yuan and Tian Tian. They have this extremely cute and beautiful smile.
That evening, we were given a treat at a seafood restaurant opposite of Singapore. After the meal, we went to a Kindergarten school and spend the night there, sleeping on the floor.
From teaching you will learn and from learning you will teach. I’ve learnt from the children the desire to learn something new everyday. If the passion to learn dies down, it will be very tough for us to progress and grow.
That’s all I have to share with you today. I will share more about the trip with you again. Stay tuned. Cheerios
